Description
Propalin is an oral liquid medication used in the management of canine urinary incontinence associated with urethral sphincter incompetence.
Propalin Syrup 30 ml is an effective treatment for urinary incontinence in dogs, particularly spayed females with weakened bladder sphincter muscles. Formulated with phenylpropanolamine (PPA), it restores bladder control and helps reduce leaks. The 30 ml bottle is convenient for small dogs or short-term treatment plans. Propalin is a prescription-only medicine that should be used under veterinary guidance.

Possible Side Effects:
- Aggressiveness and restlessness have been noted in some animals following treatment.
- Use of the product may not be fully effective in all treated animals.
- Propalin Syrup contains sorbitol which has laxative properties. However, such activity is unlikely at the recommended dose.
Manufacturer Dosing Guidelines:
- The recommended dose of phenylpropanolamine is 1.5mg/kg bodyweight twice daily
- This dosage is achieved by incorporating three drops of Propalin Syrup per 4kg bodyweight in the feed
- Alternatively, 1mg/kg bodyweight may be given three times daily by incorporating one drop of Propalin Syrup per 2kg bodyweight in the feed
