Description
Laxapet Gel is a very palatable liquid paraffin based gel that can be used as a laxative or to help with the elimination of ingested fur in dogs and cats.
Manufacturers Recommended Dosage:
5gm = 10cm strip of gel that can be given directly to your pets mouth or in food. Some pets will require a small amount to start with to to acquaint them with the taste.
- Cats:
- Ingested hair: 5gm daily for two to three days; then 2.5gm two to three times a week
- Laxative: 2.5gm two to three times a week
- Dogs:
- Laxative for small dogs: 15gm two to three times weekly
- Laxative for large dogs: 30gm two to three times weekly
Further Info:
Long-tern laxative use can induce a vitamin deficiency. Vitamin supplementation is recommended as a preventative measure
