MSO (Methimazole Spot-On) is an innovative transdermal treatment for feline hyperthyroidism. This medicated gel is applied to the inner surface of the cat’s ear (pinna) and absorbed through the skin, delivering methimazole to reduce excess thyroid hormone. It offers a convenient alternative to tablets, especially for cats that resist oral medication.

- Dosing is dependant on the individual animal, blood test results and severity of signs and should be determined by your veterinarian
- Manufacturer recommends 10mg starting dose for most cats
- This dose will then be adjusted according to ongoing test results and check ups (very important in this disease)
- One 1ml applicator will last 10 days at a dose of 0.1ml per day
