Vidalta Tablets
A slow release, once daily tablet treatment for hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) in cats.
Each tablet contains carbimazole which gets metabolised to methimazole to inhibit thyroid hormone function.
Hyperthyroidism is one of the most common medical condition affecting older cats and generally requires life long medication (other options will be discussed by your vet) with ongoing checkups and blood testing at your vet clinic.
Dosage Info:
- Dosing is dependant on the individual animal, their test results and severity of signs and should be determined by your veterinarian
- Manufacturer recommends 15mg starting dose for most cats which can then be adjusted according to thyroxine concentration.
